Kobe's 81-point game second only to Wilt
Ok, if the Seahawks hadn't made it to SuperBowl XL today, this story would have to be the sports story of the year. As a current high school basketball coach who wasn't even alive while Wilt Chamberlain was playing, Kobe Bryant scoring 81 points for the (hated) L.A. Lakers is an unbelievable feat. Not even MJ ever accomplished that. If you don't know who "MJ" is, close your browser window right now, and then use your keyboard to repeatedly bang yourself in the head. (No, it's not Mary Jane, you Spiderman geeks)

I don't think it is that impressive. I mean I don't want to take anyhting away from Kobe Bryant, his is a gifted athlete and he is a good shooter of the basketball (no mike redd though). I think that if you gave Lebron, Carmelo, or Wade the chance to shoot 50 shots a night they could pull this off as well. He is the only player in the league, (other than iverson) whos coach allows him to shoot that many shots! He is a chucker. MJ always made his team better and I dont see Kobe doing that. How many assists did he have last night? 2. Lebron is consistantly putting up 8 assists 8 rebounds and 30 points. That is the guy I want on my team.
Any guy that CAN score 81 in a game should be lauded. Moreover, the Raptors should be thrown out of the league for allowing ONE GUY to score 81 points. Play some 'D'!

You still have to give props to kobe because I watched the game and he was just strait shooting over guys and scoring at will. He was unstopable. I think that if you hive an athlete like him the chance to shoot that much he will have games like that. Ya know what I am saying. I still think it was an great preformance but never as incredible as MJ going off on the Jazz in game 7 back in the day.
It's impressive, but as the son of a late Celtics fan, I still hate the Lakers.
