Senator Sheehan?
Cindy Sheehan Considering Senate Run
This whole thing really has me confused. It's like an episode of "The Twilight Zone". On one hand, you've got incumbent Sen. Diane Feinstein, who is in her own right a California whack job. One the other side, you've the grieving mother and Hugo Chavez supporter Cindy Sheehan, who is considering running for Feinstein's Senate seat. Sheehan even goes so far as to claim that Feinstein is "out of touch with Californians". Well, if Feinstein is out of touch with Californians, and Sheehan is clearly out of touch with reality, who's left to save California? Gov. Schwarzenegger? Cue the music for Twilight Zone...

It's not any crazier than the recall race they had...

Ms. Sheehan meet Sen. Feinstein ... translates to ... Pot, meet Kettle ... You're both black!
Mrs. Sheehan has already said that she will not run against FineSwine. However, I think it would have been great for conservatives, had she run. Why? Well, with a strong pro-abortion candidate and an adamant anti-war candidate both running, it very well could have split the Liberal base of California. Current polls show that Feinstein only has 60% support. Not a sweeping majority, and if Sheehan could muster only 20-25% (taken from Feinstein), it may have left room for a moderate republican to be a real challenger in this November's elections.
